Easy to confuse with wood grayling (and they're not necessarily
restricted to rocks or woods!)
I think it's a 'rock' if buff area extends all the way round the eye-spot on the upperwing.
It also has a jagged dark area that extends into the central white band
(the 'wood' species is smoother).
